SUBMIT YOUR RATING on games on this page or any PC game! It's easy. Simply e-mail me title and rating of 1 to 10 (see Main Page for scale). In addition to Readers Ratings and my own, I gather ratings from seven major PC game rating/reviewing sites on the Net. Due to copyright laws, I cannot legally name them. With a little sleuthing, you can. All ratings are converted to a 1-10 system (some use 5 STARS, A to E, 1-100, etc. Email me for details if interested).

  • Mike's Notes: I returned this game within 2 days of purchase (something I very rarely do). I'm a huge fan of Bethesda Softworks but what were they thinking here? Seems like a hurry up job - there's no competition (either AI opponents or multi-player), no stat keeping, no league play with standings, no tournaments (pro or amateur). The question I had was: why bother?.

  • Mike's Notes: Links used to be my golf game of choice before this came along but proved too easy over time. This game brings the challenge back into playing computer golf and provides not only enjoyment but a superb challenge as well. The short game around the green is especially worthy since there are no set distances - you must "feel" the shot. Only negative worth mentioning is the wind factor...if you use wind, it remains fairly constant the entire game and affects ball flight too much. If you like golfing, you should like this game.

  • Mike's Notes: Despite the enormous amount of press on this game, both pro and con, I really liked Phantasmagoria. It wasn't nearly as gory or scary as it could have been, but it did have it's moments. It was a bit disconcerting how the game changed after 6 CD's of leisurely investigating, exploring and detecting to a sudden quick-time, fast-thinking chase around the house where any bad step results in your grisly death (done nicely). It must be reported here, that the acting, while innovative, left much to be desired, although the antics of Don near the end do provide some comic relief. Oh, yea, if Adrienne ever does a sequel, would someone please give her a change of clothing? Many hard corps gamers may find the game too easy.
