Stand up and be counted!

Mike's Notes: Waited a long time for this game but I feel it was worth it. The company got caught in the timeframe where CD-technology overtook diskettes and wanted to give their customers the best possible product, so they took an almost completed game and made the effort to make it even better with CD enhancement, thus the nearly year and a half wait. The game is creepy and weird and FUN! They promised gore and we got it; they promised a great storyline and we got it; they promised a no holds barred horror extravaganza and they delivered! Sure, there are some improvements that could be made in the acting and line delivery and the on-screen text, but hey, who's paying attention to that when you're trying to survive from encounter to encounter in Harvest. The wacked out characters alone make this title worth the purchase price (which was extremely reasonable). Oh, and one further note, there is so much negativeness these days on poor tech support, I'd like to give HIGH MARKS to Merit Studio president, Jack Irons, who responded personally to an email regarding the only glitch I've found in the game to date--and the glitch was really my problem. A outdated DOS mouse driver wouldn't light the gas burner, but with his help, the problem was identified and fixed (on a Saturday no less). Kudos, Merit Studios. Readers' Notes: Dennis Barlieb: I love it. I give this game a rating of 9.0 (only because they could have done a little better in parts) but, it is a game to end all games at this point.
